Lexington and Concord.

We only have a few days left of hanging out with Ryan sans homework/internship distractions, so today we drove up to Lexington and Concord. We walked around the Lexington Common then headed up to Minuteman Nat'l Park and made it to the video that we missed while with the Dilles. We rewarded ourselves with some amazing ice cream and as we were eating vowed to come back before winter sets in.

The weather was so beautiful today and it was so nice to walk around Lexington, peer into the quaint little shops, and eavesdrop on the jr high/high school kids walking around after getting out from school.  We reminisced about our own after-school snack splurges (going to Sonic and getting an ocean water flurry (also called a blue coconut cream slush, but I'm old-school like that…) for me and an apple pie from McD's for Ryan) and hope that Henry will make better choices than us…or at least his dad.

Henry was amazingly happy the entire time we were there, another sign that we need to come back very soon. He's currently passed out in his crib and wasn't fussy at all until we were on our way back home. We're grateful that he's such a trooper with shots (did I mention that his 6 month appt. was today?), that he barely cries and then is happy as a clam once he's in my arms. And we're grateful that all three of us had such a fun little day-trip to end the summer on a high note.

ps. As I've added a few more photos from our trip to my professional photography blog. I know, it's been a while since I've updated, but no blog deserves to be left behind, right?
