I blame summertime for the million pictures. Friends and sunshine, what more could you want? And really, I take a million pictures year-round, but in the summertime they're not grainy and blurry, yay!
I love watching our neighbor boys and especially love when all four boys are together. And even though there are times of chaos, so many times everyone is happier because everyone has a playmate.
The sprinklers finally got fixed!
Our friends from Boston, the Strobels, who now live in Poland while Spencer attends med school, were in the states for the summer and in NYC for a few days! They crashed on our air mattress since they had standby tickets out and the flights were full and we were so excited to see them even if it was just for the night.
Free lunch! Pizza, chicken nuggets, hamburgers, they were living the dream, and I didn't have to make lunch.
We went down to teardrop park on our own one day and the boys thoroughly exhausted themselves. I'll never get tired of taking subway pictures, of the million free kids' activities and capturing their NYC lives. On our way back to the train I got a falafel sandwich and shared it with Hank and he loved it, and really, what's not to love?! He's definitely mine.
The last few pictures are from a Brooklyn trip with some friends. I grabbed a pizza for the boys and I while my friends took the boys to the park and then we played, ate, played and then grabbed some ice cream before heading back to beat rush hour. And Henry's shirt got soaked in a water fountain right before we started to head out of the playground to shirtless on the carousel it was. Classy.
We went to the beach! It may take an hour to get there on the train, but the boys did great both ways. Rockaway's waves are pretty intense, so I'm super glad Ryan was there to help me out with the boys and we got some food at the boardwalk before heading home. We went on a not-so-hot Saturday too, so everyone had a good time.
Our last summertime fun before heading to Ohio was Imagination playground, near South Seaport. Henry absolutely loved all the blocks and played and played and played while the moms chatted all morning. We went down with some friends and spent all morning there and then Walter fell asleep as we headed to Ryan's work to see his new office before heading home. It was exhausting and such a great last big summer/friends' adventure.
I love this huge update. I always wonder what you're up to. I wish our boys could play together more!!
